Mission Persistence
Canada’s Giant Leap for AI in Space
Launch Date: June 2025
Short Summary: The Persistence Mission is Canada’s next step in the global effort to bring trustworthy AI & Autonomy to space. Creating resilient, rapid response capabilities by intelligently downlinking actionable insights to humans on Earth, Persistence will pioneer AI-enabled operational concepts to save space system operators time and money. With the support of the Canadian Space Agency, Mission Control has partnered with Spire Global to build a Spacecraft that will launch on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in 2025. Post-launch, Mission Control will demonstrate the power of space-based AI ushering in the next phase of human space exploration and a better understanding of the Earth.

COMING SOON!
Launch Date: 2026
Short Summary: A lunar mobility mission designed in collaboration with Astrobotic Technology, focused on demonstrating CubeRover® operations on the Moon. BEACON will travel to the Moon aboard the Griffin-1 lunar lander and deploy to the surface, where it will use Mission Control’s Spacefarer™ software platform to allow operators to perceive and navigate the lunar surface, and the Spacefarer AI™ platform to demonstrate onboard machine learning capabilities. The mission is an exciting exploration of what it takes to operate missions at the lunar south pole and a stepping stone towards the development of robust, intelligent systems for surface operations in challenging lunar environments.
